The world is full of dreamers. Think about your dreams. What are they? Do you even have any? How many hopes and aspirations do you have that you have never acted upon? Write down your dreams if have not already. Write down your goals if you have not already. Your inner thoughts will form an opinion. Listen, but do not let these distract you, or place limitations on yourself. Do not place a limitation because of fears or doubt. These are learned behaviors. Whether you have spiritual or physical goals, challenge yourself to be greater, not complacent.
Strive to achieve the highest and truest expression of yourself.
Take control of your life by setting goals, or life will drive you. Place your goals in visible places around you as a reminder to yourself. Whether it’s a room in your house, at your job, or even on the technology you use everyday – Write. It. Down.
If you do not have goals, you are directionless …
1. Structure your goals
Ask yourself – What are my goals for the short term, and what are my goals for the long term? For example, if one of your goals is to be healthier, lose weight, save more money, or personal development, don’t just focus on that goal. Ask yourself, what are the steps I need to take to get there? What can I achieve today? This week? This month? Document these steps to find your way, and do not limit yourself.
Sometimes people don’t do what they know in life, but they operate in the context of the vision of themselves.
2. Accountability Breeds Response-Ability
Now that you’ve documented your goals, why not share these with someone else that you trust? This can be a friend, a close brother, sister, or any other family relative, your partner, even a professional such as a personal trainer. This will create a good type of peer pressure for you. To stay connected with your motivators, why not create a group chat? Their instant communication to your mobile device will give you the motivation you need to stay focused. However, always remember YOU are accountable to yourself, no one can do it for you.
3. Dust Yourself Off and KEEP DRIVING!
It is now the month of February, and you may already notice that you are off track from your original goals, and you are in a setback. Don’t allow setbacks to leave you demotivated. Reflect on how bad you want to achieve your goals.
If you don’t want it bad, what will be the chances that you will achieve them?
Take time to figure out how to spark that motivation again. Don’t look for something to blame, it’s like blaming a shadow, which is really a reflection of YOU. Why did you set this goal? What fuels you? What made you want to start now? Think about that, and not how many times you’ve taken a step back. Life is about taking the steps to continue to move forward. Know your worth and write your own history.
History is being read and WRITTEN by people with imagination.
It’s always important to have goals! This is a great way to help them get started.
That is such a gorgeous planner! I’m a big planner person. They help me so much. One of the things I require in a planner is being pretty or cute. After all, I’ll be looking at it every day!
I love the accountability tip. I have a group of people I trust to keep me accountable for my goals! This is awesome! And that planner looks beautiful!
I think having a planner and getting into the habit of writing in it daily can be a very useful tool. This is a great start-up for people who want to help themselves be more organized.
I always Stay On Track With My Goals by listing them down. I also make a checklist so I’ll be able to track them.
These are great tips! I’ve always been a planner/calendar person, and cannot get with doing anything on my cell phone! There’s something still so good to me about putting pen to paper and seeing my goals written down that way!
Nniiicceeeee… a lot of us do need such truths! We tend to forget about what is really important in our day to day life and focus on the minors.
Beautiful planner! I’m not much into planners, but I did make a resolution for the new year, that I will start using them! I need to stay focused Looking at it every day will help and keep me more organized.

This is really true! Without goals in life, I wonder, for what we wake up every day and do things we usually do? Nice planner by the way. 🙂
