If you’re only using bar soap and water to clean your beauty blenders, you are making your cleaning job harder than it needs to be! Since I discovered the beauty blender a few years ago, it changed my life! I love the natural finish it gives my foundation, but cleaning my blender was so annoying! With my first beauty blender, I tried cleaning it with soap and water, and it took forever! So much so, I decided to toss it in the trash and just buy another one to avoid the hassle.
So I set out on a mission, determined to find an easier way to clean my beauty blenders, and I came across two gems that I wanted to share with you. One method came from an experienced makeup artist I know, and the other was a reference from my sister who said using a microwave went viral on Twitter earlier this summer. Enjoy!
Method 1: Oil & Soap Do Mix!
What You Will Need
1. 2 Tbsp Olive Oil (I used organic)
2. 1.5 Tbsp Dish Soap
3. A bowl
4. A Spoon
Instructions:
1. Combine the olive oil & dish soap into a bowl and combine together using your spoon
2. Take your beauty blender and immerse it in your mixture, squeezing so that it absorbs the two ingredients. Rinse under water until makeup is removed from the blender.
Below are the results!
Method 2: The Microwave Trick
What You Will Need
1. 2.5 Tbsp Dish Soap (more or less depending on the size of your container)
2. Water
3. A microwave safe container
4. A Spoon
Instructions:
1. Take your microwave safe container and add your soap first
2. Next fill the container up with water & place it in the microwave for 2 minutes
3. Use spoon to remove blender from the container. Be careful, since it will be very hot!

Between the two methods, I would say the Olive Oil and Dish Soap method work the best. Do you have any beauty blender hacks to share? Let me know in the comments below! Enjoy!
