Hello! My name is Ebony Robinson and welcome to Elicit Folio! Elicit Folio is a food, travel, & lifestyle blog that inspires readers through culture, food, & cozy moments with those they love! Elicit Folio is more than just a blog; it is a digital platform to inspire connectivity; a place where you learn about new cultures through food, and share those connective moments with others through experiences.
Elicit Folio was inspired by my mother’s love for southern cooking and my desire to deepen what she taught me as I traveled the world and tried so many different types of food. At a young age, I remember visiting my grandmother in Mississippi, and helping her feed her chickens, snap peas, clean vegetables from her garden and more. As I grew up Savannah, GA, I was blessed to experience people with so many diverse backgrounds since Savannah is a cultural melting pot. Everything I experienced with food growing up (through family or friends) was always fresh and from scratch. My ability to see the beauty in diversity grew as I set out to live my dream by traveling the world and learning from others.
Throughout my travels, I was amazed by all the raw ingredients used in other cultures, and their various cooking techniques. So I decided to create a folio of these recipes and travel learnings to inspire others to step outside their comfort zone and try new things! I also enjoy hosting dinner parties and experiences to share my learnings with others through food.
