Figuring out where to eat on the Vegas Strip can be overwhelming, especially for a foodie! There are many overpriced, yet mediocre food choices. However, when you land a great location and food experience, your tastebuds are sure to be rewarded!
So if you want to enjoy a great meal in Vegas, yet do not want to pay too much for a gourmet style meal, my advice is to visit during lunch hours! Here are my top 3 recommendations for lunch next time you’re in Las Vegas:
Eat Your Way Through Vegas!
Recommendation # 3 – Nacho Daddy
Address: 113 N 4th St, Las Vegas, NV 89101
Cuisine: Mexican
This Mexican eatery and cantina welcomes you with a rustic, yet authentic Spanish flavors. If you feel daring, give their scorpion shot a try! Yes, I said scorpion! By request, you can have a shot of tequila served with a scorpion in the glass! All of their tortilla chips are homemade, and I highly recommend trying their queso dip to kickoff your meal! If you’re not into queso, definitely give their nachos a try! You can’t come to Nacho Daddy and not try the nachos! There are traditional options, vegan options, and other imaginative hybrid options on their menu. If you’re concerned about your gluten intake, there are also gluten free options on the menu for you to try. Have some fun, and give Nacho Daddy a try for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!
Recommendation #2 – Momofuku
Address: 3708 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109
Cuisine: Asian Noodle Bar
Chef David Chang – Enough said! Momofuku is located at the Cosmopolitan Resort in Las Vegas, NV. The Momofuku brand started off in New York as a ramen noodle bar, and thereafter took off! They are known for taking your everyday comfort foods, not so popular foods (like ramen noodles), and adding a gourmet touch! During our lunch at Momofuku, we enjoyed some of the best lamb, potatoes, and noodles ever!
David Chang’s collection of restaurants are also known for their pork belly buns. These were ridiculous, and melt in your mouth instantly. I also tried a bowl of ramen during my lunch, and I must say, not only were the flavors rich, but I was impressed with the quality of the noodles as well. I am not sure if these are made in-house, but they were some of the best I’ve ever had. If you love Asian food, don’t pass up the chance to visit this famous location during your visit!
Recommendation #1 – Hell’s Kitchen
Address: 3570 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109
Cuisine: American
For all of my Food Network fans, a visit to Gordon Ramsay’s famous Hell’s Kitchen is a must see! This fiery kitchen wins my number 1 vote, and is located in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip – Caesars Palace.
Upon entrance, you instantly feel like you are on the set of the show, but not from your home TV screen … everything is real life!
According to the Hell’s Kitchen website, there are four dishes you, or those traveling with you MUST try in Hell’s Kitchen, these are:
- Beef Wellington
- Eggs In Purgatory
- Hell’s Kitchen Burger
- Lemon Poppy Seed Pancake
The Beef Wellington was the best I’ve EVER had! Seriously! And I do not even eat mushrooms! Others at my table loved their appetizers such as the Tuna Tartare, and the Caesar Salad was also a crowd pleaser.
If you recall nothing else from this review, you MUST put the Sticky Toffee Pudding on your life’s to-do-list! I am not much of a dessert eater when I dine out, and I was reluctant at first, but our server insisted, so I gave it a try. This dish is simply BRILLIANT! It has the texture of a bread pudding / pound cake, and upon taking a spoon full, this dessert will instantly melt in your mouth!
