Brownies are one of my favorite guilty pleasure snacks! Especially when I have a sweet tooth! When the hubby and I want something sweet, but don’t want to indulge in an entire cake, brownies are always the perfect go-to! A few weeks ago, my husband took a few of our brownies to work and shared them with some co-workers. One of his colleagues, Elisa, asked him if I posted this recipe to my blog. Unfortunately at the time, I did not! Thanks to her inquiry, I was inspired to make some brownies tonight after dinner and take a few pictures so I could share the recipe with her and all of you! I hope you enjoy this “fudgy” rich treat!
Homemade Real Chocolate Brownies
The brownie recipe below is very easy and made with real ingredients! Why eat "brownies" if they're made of mysterious powder substances? You will love the richness and moisture that come from my yummy recipe below!
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup baking milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup baking bittersweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup granulated white sugar
- 2 tbsp butter unsalted
- 2 tbsp water
- 2 eggs room temperature
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease or spray an 8×8 baking dish and set aside.
- Take a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking soda. Mix together and set aside.
- Next take a medium saucepan, add butter, sugar, and water. Stir with a wooden spoon over medium heat until it begins to bubble (just under a boil). Turn off heat and add milk chocolate and bittersweet chocolate chips. Whisk together until melted. Add eggs and vanilla extract and continue to whisk together in saucepan until smooth.
- Once chocolate begins to smooth, steadily add the flour, baking soda, and salt mixture into your saucepan. Continue to whisk batter until all ingredients are completely combined and smooth again. Next, pour brownie batter into prepared baking dish distribute evenly, and sprinkle walnuts on top.
- Bake brownies for 25-30 minutes until brownies reach the desired level of doneness. Use a toothpick and stick it in the middle of the brownie pan after 25 minutes to see if it comes out clean. If it does, then your brownies are ready! If not, continue to bake for a few minutes more. Once brownies are done baking, remove from oven and allow them to cool before cutting. Enjoy!

Brownies are one of the best creations is what I have always felt. They are just yummy. But they are high on the cost side too. I really am feeling a little jealous of your craft but am happy too for you. Good to know how to go about making it at home which would be cost effective too. Maybe someday I too would make my first ones at home.
Now stop this, I ma feeling very hungry and my mouth is watering…these look amazing and I would deffo try these x
