Have you ever had a guilty food craving for a pizza or a burger, but didn’t know which one you wanted? Well meet the recipe that is the best of both worlds! This dish is not for those of us who are trying to stick to a diet! This dish was created out love, food guilt, and boredom during our family’s time in quarantine. With all restaurants closed in our city during early 2020, we decided to make Friday’s nights our creative and fun dinner night. On this particular Friday, it was my husband’s turn to decide which unique dish to recreate this week – to which he replied – “let’s make a Big Mac … but in a pizza!”. So after picking up a few ingredients that I felt would go on a Big Mac burger, the recipe below was born. I hope you enjoy this fun creation! Let me know what you think in the comments below!

Big Mac Pizza Recipe
Ingredients
- 12 in Prepared Pizza Dough https://elicitfolio.com/single-post/2020/09/08/the-best-homemade-italian-pizza-crust-recipe/
- 8 oz Lean Ground Beef
- 4 strips Cooked Bacon chopped
- 1/3 cup Thousand Island Dressing
- 2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 2 tsp Onion Powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/3 cup Chopped Onions
- 1/4 cup Thinly Sliced Pickles
- 1 cup Freshly Grated Mozzarella
- 1/4 cup Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese
- Chopped Lettuce (Optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 500 F or 260 C. Take your prepared pizza dough and place it on a pizza pan. Pre-bake the pizza dough for around 5 minutes. This will help you achieve a crispy crust without a brick oven or pizza stone. While the pizza dough is pre-baking in the oven, take a pan and add lean ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and around 1/4 cup of Thousand Island Dressing. Sauté all ingredients over medium heat until meat is fully cooked and flavors have combined. Remove from heat.
- Remove pre-baked crust from oven. Spread remaining Thousand Island Salad dressing as the sauce base. Be sure to not over sauce, but keep a thin layer. Next sprinkle freshly grated parmesan cheese for extra flavor, ground beef, freshly grated mozzarella, onions, and bacon.
- Bake for about 8 minutes until cheese is melted and crust is browned. Remove from oven and top with sliced pickles and optionally lettuce. Cut and serve immediately. Enjoy!

Pickles, onion, bacon, and cheese? Yes please!!! I may even substitute the hot/sweet banana peppers for the pickles, but would eat it either way!
