Unique Bridal Shower Decor & Theme Inspiration

Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing so many of my friends transform into beautiful brides. With each passing wedding, each of them were given the long-standing tradition of a “bridal shower”. Bridal showers actually date all the way back to the 16th-century when a dowry was not available for a bride to marry and start her new life. The town would gather together and provide small gifts for her and her new home. Over the years, this tradition has continued to evolve and grow. Modern-day bridal showers are thrown to not only share and exchange gifts for the home of the bride-to-be, but they are truly a time to celebrate with close family and friends!

Each bridal shower is also uniquely coordinated to surprise the bride and to creatively delight her guests. I’ve seen so many beautiful showers over the years with amazing themes! So many that I decided to dedicate an article to these beautiful showers, which could hopefully inspire the shower of a future bride and her bridal party. Below you will find some themes and decor I was totally obsessed with! The Haute Couture Fashion Show Bridal Shower Theme

If you have a fashion lover in your life, why not throw her a Haute couture themed bridal party! One of my close girlfriends was thrown a fabulous Fashion Show Themed bridal shower a few years ago by her best friend & sisters, and it was absolutely beautiful! Some of the details put into the design were:

• VIP Backstage Fashion Show badges given to guests (try making a game out of this by not allowing guests to say certain words like “dress”, “fashion”, “runway”, or “ring”)

• Design magazine subscriptions as your guest’s RSVP invite:

• A Haute couture fashion cake with her favorite designers and matching backdrop

• Fashion mannequins as center pieces

• Fashion Show Step & Repeat for red carpet photos

• A runway for the bride to open open her gifts on
• Use a TV or a projector screen play fashion shows in the background for guests to enjoy

• Fashion themed dessert table – Designer cupcakes & cake pops (the ones shown below were baked and served by Elegant Pleasantries)

Tacos & Tea Party Bridal Shower Theme!

If you have a bride-to-be who loves tacos or tea, why not throw her a Tacos & Tea Party! One of my close girlfriends was thrown a creative and beautiful bridal shower a few years ago by her best friend & sisters, and it was absolutely beautiful! Some of the details put into the design were:

• As part of the guest sign-in, why not have guests share ideas for the couple to try! These can anonymously be placed inside of a cute mason jar and the couple can pull from these for inspiration:

• As a creative party favor, allow guests to take a tea cup home with a full of goodies such as tea and candy:

• A sombrero fit for a bride to be!

• Taco and tea cake inspiration:

Brunch & Bubbly Bridal Shower Theme

If you’re thinking of hosting a bridal shower in a restaurant, throwing brunch for your bride-to-be and guests can be so much fun! One of my close friends received a beautiful “Brunch and Bubbly” navy blue and gold themed party! The restaurant was the perfect idea because they gave us a private room, tables were provided, chairs were provided and all guests were served by a wait staff. The only items were needed to bring in was decor, favors, and outside dessert (which we previous gained approval from the restaurant ahead of time). Here are a few decor photos for inspiration:

• Cake pops on the dessert table with a copy of the invitation:

• Place setting for each guest included a pre-set menu and coffee favor that stated “The Perfect Blend”

• Bride to Be Sash for the Bride’s seat. She can wear this throughout the brunch and while opening gifts:
