If you have a group of friends who love fragrance and perfumes as much as I do, then continue reading as I share inspiration for how to host a fun perfume party! Hosting a perfume party is a unique and memorable way to gather some of your closest friends for a fun sensory experience! To elevate the evening to a more interactive experience, I created a party theme that indulged in two of my favorite guilty pleasures – pasta and perfume, naming the party – Sauce and Scents Soiree. This perfume dinner party is the perfect way to engage all the senses, blending rich culinary flavors with luxurious fragrances. This is a creative idea when hosting bridal showers, celebrating friendship, or just want an excuse to have fun! Continue reading to learn how to host the ultimate Perfume Party!
Step 1: Create A Guest List & Send Invites
Take a look at the space you plan to use to host and determine how many guests can comfortably fit for your own perfume party. You want to ensure you have enough space for guests to spread out. You also want to ensure you invite party guests who do not have a fragrance allergy, and enjoy discovering new scents. Once you build a guest list, you’re ready to send out party invitations! Since my theme was pasta and perfume, I created a fun party invitation to set the mood for our cozy and fun event! Step 2: Set the Mood
Perfume parties are a fun multi-sensory experience. For our party, I wanted the mood to be girly and cozy. Therefore I used colors and decor that were inspired by Chanel. This included soft pinks, black, white, pearls, and vintage perfume bottles with candles. The gift bags created for the girls were also inspired by Chanel.

Details on how I made these bags are shared later in this article. Overall, I definitely recommend selecting a color theme, fun decor, soft lighting, and providing a perfume bar for guests to discover new scents. Below is a picture and brief video of our Perfume Party tablescape for inspiration!
Step 3: Plan the Perfect Menu!
If you’re hosting this perfume party in your home, you can create an easy and unexpected twist to the evening by allowing your guests to make their own pasta for dinner. Here are some menu ideas for your own pasta and perfume party:
Appetizers & Small Bites:
- Mini Baked Brie Bites – Earthy and rich, pairs well with gourmand notes and fruity notes. See recipe here.
- Antipasto Skewers – Fresh basil, mozzarella, and cured ingredients complement fresh, citrusy fragrances. See recipe here.

Step 4: Games and Perfume Gift Sharing
A fun way to for each guest to go home with new scents and discover new perfumes is to gather everyone together for an evening of fun perfume themed games! I share details about the different games we played here on my blog. At a high level, the games we enjoyed throughout the evening were:
List of Perfume Party Games:
- Guard Your Pearls – Watch your words, and guard your pearls! The objective of this game is to collect as many pearls as possible by catching other guests who say the word “smell”. Learn more about this game here.
- Sniff & Tell – This game uses eye masks allowing guests to experience a blind smell test of different fragrances. (I also visited my local Sephora who kindly gave me perfume testing strips for free to support our party!) The guest with the most correct guesses wins a prize! Learn more here.
- The Price is Right – This game is a twist on the classic Price is Right game. In this game, guests will have a chance to guess the correct price of different fragrances! Let’s see who knows there scents and cents! Learn more here.
- Eau de Surprise – This game is a twist on the classic white elephant gift exchange. Each guest attending the party is required to bring a scent of their choice (our rule was travel size scents). This way everyone leaves with a new scent after the gift exchange. Learn more here.
Another game we did not have a chance to play, but certainly will for our next perfume party was a perfume mixology contest! This can be played by allowing guests to create their own unique blend of various perfume ingredients. Each scent must be named and all will smell each signature scent created by others. Guests will vote on the best smelling scent and award a prize!
Step 5: Create Party Favors
Send your guests home with a little something to remember the night. For my guests, I created little Chanel inspired shopping bags by taking matte black bags and gluing on little white flowers. Inside I filled each bag with cute self-care goodies and mini Kayali fragrances. Below you will find links to some of the gifts supplies:
