Cloudy fall weekends always call for comfort food, blankets, and football! Since we were not planning to go anywhere this weekend, I decided to make a fall themed brunch, centered around homemade pumpkin butter and biscuits. Pumpkin butter and apple butter are always fall staples in our house. I typically buy ours from Trader Joe’s, but this weekend, I decided to experiment and make my own from scratch!

Pumpkin butter pairs well with so many things! It has a creamy consistency, filled with warmth and spice. I enjoy adding pumpkin butter on biscuits, sweet potatoes, smoothies, pancakes, oatmeal and more! Feel free to tweak the recipe I have listed below! You may want yours sweeter or with more spice. One item I don’t recommend substituting is the apple cider! Apple cider has a richer taste than apple juice. If you end up trying this recipe, let me know how you enjoyed it in the comments below! Enjoy!
