Thyme simple syrup is one of my favorite infused syrups, adding herbal sweetness to any drink or dish! From my experience, thyme is subtle herb that pairs well with teas, juices, and even homemade cocktails. I occasionally enjoy making a batch and storing it in a mason jar in my fridge for a few days if I plan to have company. This “thymeless” recipe is simple and easy to make! Instructions are below. Enjoy!
Thyme Simple Syrup
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 7 sprigs thyme
Instructions
- Combine sugar, water, and thyme sprigs in a small saucepan
- Over medium heat, bring mixture to a boil and stir constantly until sugar dissolves
- Remove mixture from heat and allow it to cool until it reaches room temperature
- Remove and discard thyme sprigs. You can store your simple syrup in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator. Enjoy!
