- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 7 sprigs thyme
Get Recipe Ingredients
Over medium heat, combine sugar and water. Simmer until sugar dissolves.
Once sugar dissolves, remove sugar water mixture from heat. Add 7-8 sprigs of fresh thyme. Stir and allow to steep for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, remove and discard thyme sprigs from sugar water mixture.
Allow mixture to cool until it reaches at least room temperature. Transfer to an airtight container. You can store your thyme simple syrup in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator. Enjoy!
