Simple Syrup Recipe

This is the easiest 2-ingredient syrup made by dissolving sugar into hot water. It's perfect for sweetening cocktails, mocktails, coffee, tea, and homemade drinks.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Sugar

Instructions

  • Combine Sugar and Water - In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of sugar (200g)  and 1 cup of water (30ml).
  • Heat and Stir - Warm water over medium heat until the sugar dissolves completely. Be sure to not let it boil. A gentle simmer works best.
  • Cool and Store - Allow mixture to cool to room temperature before transferring to a mason jar or airtight container. Refrigerate for freshness.
